Glanville Training Academy offers a comprehensive NPORS Accredited Telescopic Handler Course designed to equip participants with essential theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills, preparing them for the NPORS Theory and Practical Test.

Whether you’re new to telehandling, have prior experience, seek a refresher, or are a Seasoned Experienced Worker (EWT) in need of qualification renewal, our flexible and tailored course options cater to diverse backgrounds. We cover a wide range of topics, including machine operation, safety protocols, maintenance, roadworthiness, stability factors, material handling, and more.

With the convenience of on-site training and a dedicated focus on individual learning needs, our expert instructors ensure participants leave with confidence and expertise.

At Glanville Training, we understand that every client has unique requirements and logistical considerations. That’s why we offer the flexibility of on-site training, allowing you to receive our NPORS Accredited Telescopic Handler Course right at your own facility. Our experienced instructors will work closely with your team, ensuring that the training is not only convenient but also tailored to your specific needs and operational environment.

For EWTs, we offer direct NPORS testing.

Please Note: Course Duration is dependant on experience and ranges between 10 days and 2 days. Duration will be confirmed once previous experience given.

The aim of this course are as follows:

Proficient operation of the plant machinery, utilising its full range of capabilities for various tasks.
Making informed decisions regarding the safety of lifting specific loads.
Skillfully executing routine telehandler servicing and plant maintenance in strict accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
Competently conducting minor mechanical adjustments when required.
Proficiency in preparing and safely navigating the machine on public highways, adhering to the regulations outlined in the UK Road Traffic Act.
Comprehensive understanding of the machine's purpose, functionalities, and essential safety precautions for its operation.
In-depth knowledge of the inner workings of the handler machine and its associated maintenance protocols.
Awareness of how factors such as load size, weight, gradients, and ground conditions influence machine stability.
Mastery of loading, storing, and transporting representative materials with precision.
A solid grasp of the fundamental construction principles of pallets.
Familiarity with the permissible loading practices for scaffolds, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.

Course content

Upon successfully completing the course you will be sent an NPORS card certifying you have passed this course.

Your days will include a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon, you will also be allowed a 30 minute break for lunch.

Ensure your bring your OWN lunch.

You must bring or know your national insurance number.

You will need to bring full PPE.

Course cancellations made within 5 working days prior of the course date, or, where delegates fail to attend the training course on the course date, will be charged in full. All cancellations must be made in writing. Delegate substitutions may be made prior to the course start date giving written notice. (If any further information required please refer to T&Cs).
