The 360 Excavator Above & Below 10 Tonne Tracked Training course has been meticulously designed to equip participants with both the essential theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to successfully pass the NPORS Theory and Practical test, which occurs at the end of the course. Whether you’re a complete novice looking to enter the industry or an experienced operative seeking a certified operator card for Excavator 360 above or below 10-tonne tracked machines, this course caters to your needs.

Course Objectives

  1. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical aspects of operating Excavator 360 above and below 10-tonne tracked machines.
  2. Develop practical skills and proficiency in the safe and efficient operation of these excavators.
  3. Prepare for and successfully pass the NPORS Theory and Practical test.
  4. Obtain a certified operator card, validating their competence in operating Excavator 360 above or below 10-tonne tracked equipment.

Audience:

  • Novices with no prior experience in the industry seeking to become qualified Excavator 360 operators.
  • Operatives with limited industry experience aiming to acquire a certified operator card for Excavator 360 above or below 10-tonne tracked machines.
  • Experienced machine operators requiring card renewal.
  • Machine operators regularly using excavators who desire an accredited qualification.

Additional Information:

  • For those seeking a CSCS logo on their operator card, please note that a Health, Safety, & Environment Test must have been passed within the last two years.

Please Note: Course Duration is dependant on experience and ranges between 10 days and 2 days. Duration will be confirmed once previous experience given.

The aim of this course are as follows:

The health and Safety requirements of the industry and their role and responsibility as a plant operator
Regulations, legislation and operator’s handbook
Pre-use checks
The purpose of principal components, the basic construction, controls and terminology
Configure and set for site travel
Travel over rough, undulating ground, substantial inclines and level surfaces
Manoeuvre in confined spaces
Configure and set up for excavating duties
Explain actions required for hazards, underground and overhead services
Place materials into transporting vehicles
Grade spread and level ground and materials
Attach and remove buckets
Carry out shut down and securing procedures

Course content

Upon successfully completing the course you will be sent an NPORS card certifying you have passed this course.

Your days will include a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon, you will also be allowed a 30 minute break for lunch.

Ensure your bring your OWN lunch.

You must bring or know your national insurance number.

You will need to bring full PPE.
