Overview

The Excavator 360 N202 NPORS certification is designed to provide participants with the essential skills, knowledge, and understanding required to operate an Excavator 360 safely and efficiently. The Excavator 360 Above & Below 10 Tonne Tracked Training course offers a comprehensive approach, combining in-depth theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical experience. Participants will learn how to operate an Excavator 360, understand its components, and apply safety practices in compliance with industry standards. The course prepares individuals for the NPORS Theory and Practical tests, which are conducted at the end of the training to ensure operators are fully qualified.

Audience

The NPORS N202 Excavator 360 Certification is designed for Plant Operators seeking a qualification in operating a 360 excavator. This course is ideal for a range of participants, including novices with no prior industry experience who are looking to become qualified Excavator 360 operators. It also caters to operatives with limited experience who wish to obtain a certified operator card for operating Excavator 360 machines, either above or below 10 tonnes. Experienced machine operators in need of card renewal, as well as those who frequently use excavators and seek an accredited qualification, will also benefit from this training.

Certification

Upon successful completion of both the theory and practical tests, delegates will receive their NPORS-trained operator card, validating their competence in operating 360 Excavator (Above or Below 10 Tonne, depending on course)

Additional Information

For those seeking a CSCS logo on their operator card, please note that a Health, Safety, & Environment Test must have been passed within the last two years.

  • Novice – ten days
  • Intermediate – five days
  • Experienced – two days
Duration will be confirmed once previous experience is given.

The aim of this course are as follows:

Gaining a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and responsibilities as a plant operator.
Learning a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular machine to be used.
Being able to locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions.
Being able to locate and identify steering, driving and braking controls and explain their functions.
Identifying and maintaining PPE appropriate for Excavator use.
Conducting all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturer’s and legislative requirements.
Safely mounting and dismounting the machine.
Starting and stopping the engine and safely moving the machine off and stopping it safely.
Configuring the machine for travel and manoeuvring it safely across varying terrain in open and confined areas.
Conducting all necessary safety checks at the work area.
Manoeuvring the machine to the work area and correctly configuring in readiness to carry out excavating tasks.
Carrying out excavating tasks
Loading material onto transporting vehicles or into containers.
Reinstating excavation, grade and level ground
Fitting and removing attachments.
Carrying out all end of shift and shut down procedures.

Course content

Upon successfully completing the course you will be sent an NPORS card certifying you have passed this course.

Your days will include a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon, you will also be allowed a 30 minute break for lunch.

Ensure your bring your OWN lunch.

You must bring or know your national insurance number.

You will need to bring full PPE.
